Can i return back home after receiving Green Card?!!!

Hi

Can i return back to home country after i receive my green card? if yes, how often should i travel to the states and for how long to maintain permanent residency status?

If you don't want to live in US why do you want GC? To maintain GC you have to spend most of the time in the US.
 
If you stay outside USA for more than 180 days in a year without a reentry permit, you'll lose your green card.

I guess it's nice to have a U.S. green card that allows you to fly to USA at any moment, while living in your own country.
 
It would be nice for those who wish to use the green card as a 'travel visa' to use a travel visa instead, and those who wish to permanently move to the US to get a green card.

But that's not how it works either :)

Would also be nice if it does.

Well, I heard that if you have a green card then return it voluntarily to the US government, it is considered a very strong indication of non-immigrant intent, which in turn should make it very easy to get a non-immigrant visa.

Please don't get a green card if you don't intend to live in the US permanently.
