Can I request to change the term of SS Card after getting the GC?

Does the Social Security Card still shows the term of VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION after I get the GC? If so, does it mean I can't request to remove it until I become a citizen?

Go to local SSA office they will issue a new SSN card.

once you get GC, you should apply & get a new SSN card (same number) without restriction message.
