Can I petition parents if i'm unemployed

I'm a US citizen and planning to petition parents that is here in the US
and file for their adjustment of status and stuff.

I recently lost my job and now im unemployed. Is there any chance I can
still go ahead and submit the application for them?

What are the best thing to do on this kind of situation?

yes, if you can find a way to take care of I-864, like find a joint sponsor, or use a household member's income
