Can I(not the sponsor) accompany my parent to the interview?

My sister is sponsoring my parent's green card. Is that OK if I go to interview with them instead of my sister?

only sponsors are allowed inside with applicants. Is this for CP or AOS?

It's AOS. My parents are currently in US.

The notification mentions that they can bring a integreter with them and does not say that sponsor has to present at the interview. So I figure I can act as a intepreter.
