Can I moonlight on h1B and get 1099 in top of w2

Can I moonlight on H1B and get a 1099 from another employer or I need another H1B just for that? :confused:
 
On H1-b you can only work for the sponsoring employer. U will need a new H1 for the new employer. U can have two H1's and work for two people but the H1 application will have to mention that.

Dont work without H1 or u will be in violation oh ur status.
 
If CIS finds out then they will cancel your H1-B immediately and may send you a deportation letter.
This is serious be careful.
 
thanx for the answers guys; just found out today about this...I knew so many people doing this on h1 that I thought it's ok...
