can i make changes to i-864 after it was submitted to USCIS ?

I submitted the I-864 form last month (as part of I-485) but it appears that I need to add a sponsor to it. Now USCIS is asking me to provide financial information which I know will not be sufficient. Question is - can I fill up a new I-864 form and submit it as a replacement for the one they currently have?
