Can I leave US same day I enter to get Green card?

Hi, I had my interview at the US embassy in Tokyo and my application was approved. So I received the yellow envelop with my immigrant visa documents. I need to be in USA by January 26th to get my Green card.
I arrive in JFK at 6:30PM
Can I leave the US on the same day?
I need to fly to Europe and want to book a flight from JFK to Europe at 10PM. That gives me 3:30 hours from my arrival in USA (JFK) till my flight to Europe on the same evening/night. Is it allowed? And do I have time?

Also, the yellow envelop which contained my documents arrived open. The envelop specifically says "Do not open" but it was open already upon arrival at my house in Tokyo. Can I seal it myself instead of going all the way back to the US embassy? The adhesive on the envelop was not strong enough, but there are no signs of forcible opening.

Yes, you can. The moment you enter the US, you become a US permanent resident, and you can travel abroad as you like. Your immigrant visa, upon being stamped on entry, automatically turns into an I-551 (green card) valid for one year from the date of entry. Make sure to not call it a "visa" anymore after you enter.

I don't know whether you have enough time to finish the process, or whether the envelope being opened is an issue.
 
Thank you for your reply. But what are your referring to when you say you don't know if I have time to finish the process? What process?
And can anyone tell me about my two questions?
