Can I Leave my H1 and Stay on EAD without Working

Hi

I am on H1 and recently received my EAD through my spouse who is a primary applicant. Now can I leave my job as I need to prepare for one exam and not work and stay on EAD. Is it legal? Can I do that or I will be out of status?
Also to other people that I got my EAD without finger printitng, so you don't need finger prints for EAD.
Please advise.
 
It is perfectly legal for you to not work and be at home with your EAD. You will continue to be in legal status. However, be aware that if you do that you would have lose your H1 status and would move to 'AOS' legal status.
