i got LC perm approved 2 months back and i-140 approved last week. but i cannot apply for i-485 since my PD is July 2004. My question is -
As per my knowledge, if I decide to change my job now, I will have to file new perm LC and new i-140. But I can hold the PD from my old case, since I have i-140 approved.

Can someone please let me know, if there are any restrictions apply on the type of job I can choose, eg

1. I need to work in the same geographical area that I am working currently.
2. I need to have same job title and same job duties or something.
3. It depends on my current employer, if they decide to use PD for someone else or revoke 140 then I cannot use it or something.

I feel, it is a good option, to change a job now, since big companies file labor after 1 year of joining..but as far as u can hold ur PD for sure, it doesn't matter to you.

Please guide me on this.

Thanks.

What happens when company closed after approval of I-140. Can I still carry my PD if I have enough time in H1 in new company?

To retain your PD, when you file for your new labor, submit a copy of your approved labor/I-140.
There are no other restrictions.
Also, please confirm with a lawyer as each case if different. I was able to retain my PD in a totally different geographical area.
