Can I have Multiple 140s,Gurus Please advise?

I have applied for 140/485 Labor Sub - VSC- EB3 04/02/2004 from company B.

Recently, my labor cleared (Company A- Current employer) and I want to apply for another 140/CP - VSC.

Is this possible?

Lawyer says, I file another 140/CP, then my previous 485 filing from the company B will be invalidated.

Please advise.

Just file 140 for adjustment of status. I know you can have multiple 140s open but one 140 with 485 and another with CP, I am not sure. I think that you lawyer is right and if you file one 140 with CP, it will invalidate your 485. But you can file another 140 with intention of filing 485 later. And dont file 485 on this one. That way your 140 will also get approved faster (I am assuming you are filing in Vermont)
