Can I go India after getting GC based on asylum

Hi, I have got US green card, 6 years after filing asylum. I have lost my Indian passport which was expired in Nov 2007 (one month before). I lost it in moving from one house to other. Now I want to go to India but for that I have to get new indian passport. Please suggest me how I can do that or is it possible to get new Indian passport. Also i came to know that If you go india then Indian govt. can stop you, because you have filed asylum in USA. How they will know that I have filed asylum in US??

On most greencards, it says how u got the it. For examply: DV, EB1, EB2.
Maybe immigrations might look at that and know that u got it through asylum.

If you will go to India US Immigration will definitely ask you becasue they know that you got the GC through Asylum. I have read some psots when they were asked for visiting even the neighboring countries.
