Can I go for the completion of the FP before the scheduling date?

It depends on the local CIS office. it is hard to say but you can have a try if you are close to the local CIS.

What should people do if going for the FP before the scheduling date, just going there directly (Atlanta area)?

I did it in Atlanta in Dec. No problems, I was just asked to wait a little longer, once the people with appointment were taken care of. It will all depend upon the Officer on duty and the no. of people waiting in front of you.

I went for FP more than a month before schedule, in Houston. They didn't care. Try going early morning (and I don't mean 6 am.. just a regular time, like 9)
