Can I go for passport stamping only with approval email

My 485 approved last week but till today I have not received approval notice. Based on email I took appointment for early next week. If I dont receive approval notice by then, can I go for stamping with email approval?

Check the forum. There are some success stories when people go to stamp passport with e-mail only.
