Can I get the green card directly from my father?

My father lives in USA 13 years ago, he has the green card. I'm not sure if he is an american citizen yet or not. I'm 24 single software engineer, am I eligible to get the green card directly ?

The short answer is yes, you can apply for a Green Card through your father.

Whether he is a citizen will make a difference to how quickly you can get one however. Even if he is a citizen however, because you are over 21 you should expect a long wait (years).

Sorry. If he's not a citizen you'd fall under the 2nd preference B category. They are processing applications received in 1997.
If he is a citizen its a 6 year wait because you are over 21.
