Can I get interim AP without AP pending

I need to go back to China immediately. My father is in critical conditions. However I don't renew my AP when it expired in June. I thought I will get approval pretty soon. So can I go to local BCIS office and apply interim AP? Apporeciated any help. BTW, I live in Austin, TX.

There is nothing called Interim AP. Go to Service center where you applied your GC and Previous AP.

Apply for an AP, If asked say that you have an emergency and you would like to get AP. Usually they give it for One year. (Not Interim, It works for 1 year like regular AP).

If you try to apply in Other Service centers you may not get it.
