I have a GCard and want to get married to someone who is in India but has not US Visa. I've know that the wait for a GC Holder's spouse to come here with a GC is very long almost 3-5 years.

I've heard of a 'N' Visa where the engagement is held in India and the marriage has to be held in the US within 90 days of the potential spouse coming here.

The parents of my potential spouse are ok with the engagement in India and marriage here.

What are the rules for this visa and what are the limitations for the spouse after the marriage is done for travel and how can she get her green card as well?

Please reply soon

Thanks

Sorry to break this news to you but I don't think there is any such visa that allows a GC holder to bring his/her spouse to US in quick time. I don't know of any 'N' visa that you are talking about but there's this 'K' visa available to the fiance or spouse of US Citizens. The K visa allows entry to the fiance or spouse... however if the person enters US as a fiance, he/she must get married within 90 days of entry.

You may wanna check with an immigration attorney if there is a way.

I think a_usc is right, you can read it here: http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/fiance.htm

This K1 Visa is for fiancés of US Citizens only. Have you considered becoming a US citizen? Of course, it will still take a while.
Keep reading the USCIS website for more info, that is always helpful:

I really hope that everything is going to turn out fine for you. Good luck!
