Can I get back or stop AP fees after 485 approval?

Friends,

I mailed 3rd AP applications (myself, my wife and child) in the evening and the same night got approvals on all our 485 files. Now my questions are
1. Will USCIS, return my AP applications since 485 got approved?
2. In case if USCIS goes ahead with the processing, I will lose $500 unnecessarily. Can I stop the check? Is it OK to do that or will have any concerns?
I appreciate your valuable suggestions/experiences.
Thanks in advance.

My personal opinion is to send a express letter to the INS informing them of your decision to withdraw your AP application as your GC is approved. At the same time inform the Bank to stop payment on your checks.
It makes no sense to loose $500 over an application that is no longer required.

1:You can stop the checks via Bank and pay some charges.
2: Explain how you mailed: FedEx, UPS, USPS, Airborne. Do you have a tracking numbernad/or receipt?
Contact the courier and try to stop delivery.
