Can I get another visa before the interview?

Strange question, but probably someone here might know the answer. I am a religious minister and have a job interview next week in the USA. If I am hired they might not be happy to wait until my GC is finally approved after interview.

Could I get an R1 visa which is quite easy to get which will allow me to start working in the new position in the USA and once I get to the interview and pass go back on my GC?

If this is possible I think I could start working, come to London for my interview (or change to AOS if possible) and then go to the same job as permanent?

I'm not sure about this particular case. I do know that getting a temporary work or tourist visa is generally harder, if not impossible, when you are simultaneously in the process of moving to the US for good.
