Can I get a visa stamp SIX Month before it expire

Can someone help please?

My Six year H1B will expire in April 2007, My lawyer inform me that he Can get an 7th year extension (base on pending labor certificate. more than 365 days) in October 2006.

My question is can I get a visa stamp in November 2006? Or I have wait till my present H1b visa in expire (April 2007)?

I always try to get new stamp month or two before expiration. You are 4-5 months away. I have not heard any thing specific but best is to call number listed on nvars.com to find outmore but I would ask my lawyer first and go from there. Good Luck.

My visa was valid till Oct 2006 and I went to stamping at Chennai in Apr 2006.
