Can I form a \'S Corporation\' (1099) if I have EAD? I am not the primary I-485 applicant.

Yes

Yes you can as long as the primary applicant still has a job with the GC sponsoring employer or after 180 days of filing 485 with another valid employer. The primary applicant cannot be working full time for this S corp that you form.

You can start C/S/LLP on other visas too, but you cannot get paid by your own company. Thats all. (Note that I am not an attorney..)
