I am a University teacher but this university does not have tenure track system. It goes like this, for the first year, you get a letter stating it's a one year visiting position, the next year, you get another letter stating it's converted to "Full time mutiyear contract, non tenure earning".
My question, can I file PERM with offer letter like this? One lawyer says, it has nothing to do with offer letter, as long as the employer is willing to file for PERM , that means they view this as a permenant position and you can file.
Is that true?
Thanks
