Can I file N-400 one day after international travel?

Can you mail N-400 package a day after international travel?



Hi, guys,

I am wondering if there is some provision that does not allow filing N-400 right after returning to US.

I got my GC on 7/21/2001 (never leave out US except this month), continuously live in the current place for 3.5 years.

I plan to filing N-400 on 4/28/2006, but my international travel happens between 4/20/2006 and 4/27/2006.

Will this (filing N-400 only one day after international travel) be a problem or cause delay?

you can file anytime you want to, which provide you meet all the requirements for filing N400.

you can even file the N400 when you are on your oversea vacation / business trip.. blah blah blah.

so it is up to you.

I don't think so, you have to sign N-400 in US before mailing it out.
