Can I file Labor on my own?

Hello,

A small company having about 12 employees want to do my GC on future emplyment basis.

1. What precaution I need to take before I file the GC from this company? Like its financial condition etc. Company has branch office in North Dakota and from where they want to fine my labor.
2. Will it create problem in GC that is being filed by my current employer?
3. Can I file Labor on my own instead of filing thro' attorney? Can you provide link for this?

Can anybodt let me know this.
