can i continue with 485 if I go back to my old company

My Labor and I-140 were completed by Mar 2000 from my first company. I changed jobs after that. My Labor was filed with my new company last month.
Both companies are in Virginia. If I go back to my old company can I continue the old processing or Should I apply any addendums? I\'ve been considering this alternative since people have been saying that the labor is going to take more than a year from now because of the 245 applications.

you can

You can continue your GC application with the old co. even if you continue working for the new co. Remember that GC is for the future job. The requirement is that when 485 is approved, you will have to go back to work for the old co. You can file 485 even today (since PDs are current) if that co. is willing to provide you a letter stating that they will hire you once 485 is approved. You can work for that co. currently if you have H-1 from them, or you use EAD when you get it but certainly when 485 is apporved.
