Can I change SSN using EAD - Primary Applicant

Hi,
Sorry if this is posted already.. I am the primary applicant on H1B. I got the EAD but not planning to use. Can I apply to change my SSN so the word "Authorized to Work only"? Will this be an issue for me? I dont want to use EAD for sometime now..

If your SS card says "Not valid for employment", with an EAD you can change it to "Valid for employment only with DHS Authorization". But you will need a green card or citizenship to remove the employment-related verbiage altogether.
