Can I change residence just before interview?

and provide them with my new address at the interview. I intend to keep the current address until I receive the interview notice. They shouldn't care if I move across DOs for the oath letter right? They just need to send a Oath notice...end of story? Please advise!

Pretty much the first thing an IO does during your interview is confirm that your official residence address lies within the jurisdiction of his DO. If not, the DO has no authority over your case and the interview will be terminated immediately. (Its all described in the adjudicator's handbook, if you wish to search around here for the appropriate reference.)

If you move to a different district, you must submit an AR-11 and call the USCIS 800 number to have them update your case. Typically there will then be a 3-4 month delay while you wait for the official 90-day residency requirement to be met, and your file to be transferred to the new DO.

Are you getting the hint that its not a good idea to move prior to interview?

I'm not sure whether the same restrictions apply once the interview has been successfully conducted, but it would seem reasonable to assume USCIS would still want to transfer your files, and that itself can take an eternity if anything get misdirected.

Thanks folks!

Looks like it's best to continue to live in the current place until after Oath, to avoid any potential delay.
