Can I Cancel Name Change to speed up decision/oath?

After a tough interview, I received a "Decision cannot be made..." however when I asked my Io when I could expect a decision, the IO stated that if it wasn't for the name change a supervisor could have reviewed my case and schduled me for today's oath.

I felt sick. My question is would canceling the name change speed up the decision or make this worse?

Any changes requested after the interview can be expected to delay the decision and/or oath date.
