Can I call TSC earlier?

Hi guys – great forum
If someone calls TSC and checks the status of his I-485 with RD later then current I-485 TSC processing dates – what is the most likely answer would be? Will that hurt my I-485 ? Does anybody have any experience? Or I better stay away from phone until processing dates become current or close to RD?

u can call any time..some people called every day and got the gc...

You can call them but generally one should only call if USCIS is processing beyond the processing times of PD and RD.
