EAD has nothing to do with bringing somebody to the country.
Your parents will need to obtain their own visas. What you can do is write a letter telling the Consulate that your parents will stay with you, you will cover their expenses etc. Normally, you will also need to include your latest employment letter.

These days, it all depends on consulate's decision/discretion, based on the interviews, etc.
Even if the consulate gives your parents 5-year or 10-year visas, the final decision on how long they can stay in the US is with the INS officer at Port of Entry.

i personally know of a recent case where the visa was denied to a father.
the father was retired , both his sons were here but no one knows the real reason of denial.

Make sure they are able to show strong ties back home...

Good Luck !!!

I think your status is important when you bring your parents

You have to fill an affidavit of support form if you are sponsoring them. Otherwise they have to show funds for tickets and the duration of stay over here. And for the affidavit of support, you have to show valid visa status. I think you can send a copy of your EAD card but better check with a lawyer.

yes, you can!

My H1 had expired when my MIL applied for a visa. She got the visa.

In the Affidavit of Support, fill in your A number.

Include the following docs:
1) Copy of 485 receipt notice
2) Copy of passport, EAD
3) Letter from your employer
4) A letter to the Consulate General in India
5) A letter 'inviting' your parents to the US
6) Statement of Account from your bank

If they can show proof of strong ties in India (Proof of real estate, etc), that will be good.
