Can I become a part time employee after filing I-485?

I filed I-485 two months ago and I have H-1B visa. Now my employer asks me to become a part time employee and tell me that I can become a full time employee half year later. I wonder if changing my status from full time employee to half time employee will affect my I-485 process. Can a person hold two part time jobs which both of them need H-1B visa. Your help is highly appreciated
