Can I be a realtor?

I am on H-1b, with labour and I-140 approved. I am thinking of getting a realtor license. Am I legally allowed to be realtor on H1B VISA? According to Texas Real Estate Commission, Any legally admitted alien can get a license by passing their exam?
But as H1B, can I do it?
 
I knew some people who are working as real estate agents after obtaining these licenses under H1B.
 
Is it illegal to be a realtor under H1B.

I am interested in getting a license and working as a realtor. But I just don't want to screw my immigration process, now taht I got MY 140. Are you sure if the people you know are doing this legally? did they get any advice before they started out.

They are doing it on a part time basis (During weekends)
During weekdays they are working in IT field.
