Hi Everybody,

I have applied for H1b processing and my papers are approved in the month of october 2005, but there a problem with my documents.

After approval the Immigration office has sent the documents to the attorney´s office by post and the attorney did not receive the documents and they found that the documents are lost in mail.

And now my employer advises me to face the embassy with the courtesy copy.

Can any one help me out in making me understand what is a courtesy copy....(is it a duplicate copy ?) and also let me know that can i attend the embassy with the courtesy copy.

Attending the embassy with the courtesy copy would be ok or it may create any further complications and will the interviewer accept the courtesy copy.

I m in a dilema whether can i attend the embassy with the courtesy copy or not.
Kindly help me out.

Thanks.

Hi Raheem,
We are facing a similar situation as urs.

We received our 7th yr extension approval notice in Nov 2005. But the approval notice is on "I-797C" and also has the new I-94 attached to it. Our attorney never received "I-797A" and he's insisting that we can use this I-797C with the I-94 for visa stamping.

Does a courtesy copy usually have I-94 attached to it??...Ours has,so can we use it for visa stamping???

How did you procced???

Please advise ASAP....

Any response will be highly appreciated...

Thx,
S
