can I apply PERM?

I have worked in my current position for 3 years already and now my boss wants to file the PERM for me. Some people told me that I cannot apply PERM, since I have to file PERM in 18months since I began to work here. Is it true? I am really worry about it now.

Who has told you this BS? Calm down and relax. Your employer can file LC petition for you.
 
you can file anytime. However I might add that there could be a problem using the experience you gained with your present job. In fact usually you cannot use it unless your job duties have changed by 50% or more. How many years experience in the same field did you have before your present job?
