Can I apply N-400 now?

I have been LPR since Mar 1, 05 but had been away for 183 days for the first trip before transferred to the US branch within the same company in Nov.05. The question is can I apply for citizenship now or I have to wait until Jul 05, 2010. I filed tax for 2005 and have had state driver license and bank accounts since 1997.

I'm thinking about waiting until Jul 05,2010 to apply but the problem is I always travel at the end of the year and afraid that the process would not complete in time.

You have to wait until July.
If you had been employed by the US branch, you could have attempted to convince the IO that you retained strong links to the US while you were temporarily out of the country, but having a foreign employer pretty much kills that option.
