Can I apply GC through my employeer if my spouce has already filed through marriage?

Gurus,

I am married to a US PR who filed for my PR through marriage. I am currently in US on a student visa but already have a job lined up.

Can I file another case with the INS through my employeer? And if I do so would I have to withdraw the existing case filled through marriage.

Would appreicate advice, comments, suggestions and similar experience.

You can process them in parallel and with draw one when you get GC.
