I have applied for adjustment of status and my ead. I have also received the receipt number.

Unfortunately I have lost my job. My question is can I apply for F1 or Visitor visa?. I belive F1 is a non-immigrant visa and hence I cannot apply.

Can any one please help with any options that might be available?.

Thanks

Did /are you gonna get your gc even after you lost your job, after applying for I-485?

Sorry

Sorry to hear that. I think you should consult with a good attorney, or can seek information from Jaxen or Jim Mills.

After you apply for AOS, you can still continue on AOS if you can enjoy AC 21. If you dont qualify for AC 21, I dont know what are other options you can persue to keep AOS pending.

I would suggest not change to F1. You can stay on AOS. By the by what is I-140 status. Search for the job. that’s is very important. Talk to good attorney

F1 requires that the applicant not have immigrant intent. Filing for AOS proves that you have such an intent. Therefore F1 might get denied.
People in AOS status do not need F1 status to study.
