Can I apply for EB-1?

I am thinking about taking a job offer as a postdoc in a biotech company. I am not sure if they will sponser for my EB-1 application. But a lot of biotech companies do not do this for their postdocs. Anyone has similar experience? If they don\'t sponsor, can I sponsor myself?

If you fulfill the requirements then you can file a self-sponsored petition under EB-1(Extraordinary Ability) category. You can find the requirements in the immigration FAQ. You can also file a self-sponsored petition under EB-2 National Interest category.
