Can I Apply for AP?

I have a pending 485 EB3 and have EAD etc but i am still working on H1 (7th year Extn). I want to apply for AP now since my H1 stamp expires soon and i dont want the hassle of going to US Consulate in India.

Can i apply for AP even though i have valid H1 and i am on H1 status?

Yes you can apply as long as have pedning 485.
