can I apply EB-1

I just graduated last month with a PhD in EE. Now I am working in the R&D group of a middle-size company. I have one IEEE journal paper and four IEEE conference papers. Should I ask my company to sponse me for EB-1?

YOu should talk to a good lawyer about your specific case to find out if you are a good candidate for EB1-EA, EB1-OR or EB2-NIW. ALso, it seems you could go for EB3-RIR (reduction in recruitment)- which sometimes gets adjudicated sooner than EB-1/EB-2 . Since you have an employer I would guess a better choice would be EB-1-OR and/or EB3-RIR, however thgis is non-legal opinion only (always try to apply for more than one category if you satisfy the criteria and most of the times attornies do not charge a whole lot more for applying for 2 or 3 categories rather than just one (as some of the categories have a wide overlap in there criteria and requirements - which does not increase the attornies work).
