Adding spouse to current PR application

I have received my IA in March'06 and responded in Apr'06 along with the medicals done.

Now I got married in Jun'06 and how can I add my spouse to the current application? I heard its going to delay the process if I add my spouse now to my current application or is it easier to add later and wait until I receive the PP request/landind papers?

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

If your situation changes (yours has changed since you got married) after your application is received by the cdn immigration office but before you are given the papers for landing, you have to inform immediately to the cdn immigration office. This could delay the process, but it is worth it.

Otherwise if you wait for your landing papers without informing about your situation change, the papers become invalid and you might have to start the whole process again. (In short, you will not be able to land in that case).

Is there any specific application form we need to fill to add the spouse before sending to Cdn Immigration office and what happens next?

Do I have to wait until they request for my spouse's Finger Print/Medicals document.
Please share your experiences.

Call the CIC and follow their instructions. They tell you what needs to be done. Again, act quick before your case gets approved.
 
I just sent them a letter, asking them to add my wife to my application, with appropriate proof of marriage (marriage cert., photos, invitation letters). Once they receive the letter they will advise you on next steps...

I will advise you to expect delays in your application approval - It took them 2 yrs to approve my case after I added my wife (3 yrs in all)!

Does it really take so long(around 2 yrs) after you add the spouse?

Not sure your case is similar to mine..Did you already receive your IA and had your medicals done, when you added your spouse..could you share your timeline details..

Anyone with similar experiences please advise.
