Can I-485 get approved after FP expire?

Hi All,
My FP will expire on Sep/12/2004. Today I got my I-140 (RD: Mar/11/2003). My I-485 (RD: Apr/25/2003 is still pending), is there any possibility that I-485 case get approved after FP expire? Or INS must ask you do a second FP?

It will be an exception...

If it is approved, it will be an exception and such exceptions do happen! However, the norm is that you will get a second FP notice and will not see approval until then.
 
Fingerprints changed!!

Did anyone notice if their fingerprints had changed, thus requiring the re-fingerprinting process? In all honesty, this whole re-fingerprinting business is the biggest farce ever known to mankind. If TSC wanted to get more effecient, they would just cut this cr@p and make the FP valid for 10 years+.

I think the fp thing is to check if your record with Fbi changed or not. You might have been arrested or something.
