Can I-140 RFE delay EAD approval

Hi,
After looong time my LUD on I-140 changed from 04/04/2004 to 02/08/2005.I used substitute labour to file my I-140 in Jan 2004 and I am pretty sure I'll get a RFE.I-485 was also filed on 12/28/2004
Does RFE on I-140 would delay EAD approval.

Depends on how soon they "take a look" at your EAD application. For me, they approved EAD within 2 weeks of concurrent filing. However, after a month, I got an RFE on 140.
In some cases, they "take a look" at EAD and 140 together and then issue an RFE on 140 instead on approving ead.
 
I think it depends from case to case.
In my case I140 was filed seperately and I got a RFE on it. Then because of retrogression I filed by 485/EAD in December.
Later in Jan we sent the RFE response. On the same day when the service center received the response they approved my EAD application in the evening (I got the status change message on I-140 in the morning and EAD approval mail in the evening).
But still my I-140 is pending and so is my spouse EAD application.
Again this is for VSC

So I cant tell for sure whether the RFE affects the approval of EAD or not.
