Can H4-B stay in US while H1 is on business VISA outside USA

Hi All

I have a question about the legality of H4-B staying in US while the H1-B is working for a US based company but is on a business visa at some other country.

I mean company X has sponsored for H1-B, and is sent for a one year time period to another country through the same employeer. In such a case will H4-B permitted to stay in USA for that one year.

Yes as long as the principal continues to be on H1 and on the payroll of the H1 sponsoring employer.
