Can H1-B remotely work at home while company in another state?

My company will close MA branch office soon and gives two options: relocation to another state or remotely working at home via telecommunication.
Is remotely working okay for a H1-B?

On my I-94, the company\'s address is in MA, which will become void soon. So I guess I need a new I-94. If the address change to MI, can I still stay in MA? Or must I be there physically?

Also my company has a sister company in MA. It is possible that my company borrows an office in the sister company so I can work there. If so, is it okay to put this sister company\'s address on my new I-94 but the employer\'s name will not change?

Thank you very much.

No Title

Sure it is possible to work remotely from another state. The I-94 does not mention your company address -- it just mentions your name, DOB and Nationality.

H-1 Amendment required

The company would need to file an H-1 amendment to change the work location, and possibly the job duties since the person is now working remotely. This process is the same as applying for a new H-1 or an extension but the company may be able to avoid the $1000 training fee if the dates are not extended.
