My friend is 24-years-old and he came here on a student visa. His dad died a couple years ago and a family here has practically (not legally) adopted him and would like to sponosor his greencard. But they don\'t know if INS will allow them to do it. The family is not related to him.
Does anybody know if this would be possible. And how?
