Can FP be extended?

I have done mine in March 2006. I took Infopass in Oct 2007 and asked why there was no a second notice for FP because I believed that my first set of FP has expired. Infopass lady told me taht they were automatically extended/renewed. My attorney has never heard about such practice. Is it possible? Has any one got GC when FP was done more than 15 months ago?

No idea. I also thought that FP needed to be done once in a year before you got the GC.

Interesting question. I always thought they automatically expire after 15 months.
I think you can put in a service request to make them take your FP again but I don't think we can extend the existing FPs.

nj_skm,
It's been a really long process for you. Two friends of mine are in the similar situation: applied in 2003 and namecheck stuck ever since.
Did you notice the new memo about the namecheck waiver after 6+ months with FBI? Have you phoned the center and ask them about the new memo?

That doesn't make any difference for me as I'm in the India/EB2 category. My PD is U for the rest of the year so even if the NC is no longer an issue, the earliest I can hope for an approval is in Oct, assuming my PD becomes current then.
Perhaps I could check with them and see if my NC is indeed no longer an issue. Will do it some time later.
