Can faxed letter be used?

I do not have time left to respond to the RFE, and the most critical letter was faxed to me on plain paper. But the fax machine recorded the sender's info as DoD. Can this letter be used?

I used both faxed and emailed letters during my RFE. USCIS accepted them.
