I'm a visual artist student with f1 visa.
I would like to start showing my work in galleries.
By any chance if I manage to sell my art work, is it catagorizes as an employment?

Are the galleries affiliated with the university? Are the exhibits part of your academic program requirements? Are US students in the program participating as well?
I suggest that you talk to the DSO at your university. I can see that in certain circumstances that this could be viewed as a CPT but do not know for sure. The DSO is the very best person to ask.
