Can F-1 self employed

Hi,
Can someone give some advice that if F-1 full time student can do his own business? For example, if the student passed some life and health insurance license, can he do his own business about this field? Does it disobey the immigration rules: F-1 full time student can work on campus 20 hours/week?

It will depend on many factors. If you have a full time RA or TA, then you are not allowed to work further either on-campus or off-campus. Also note that for INS purposes the field is defined by what is written on the I-20. The best thing is to check with your international students office, or if needed, an attorney.
