Can everyone with suspected issues with CONTINUOUS RESIDENCY or PHYSICAL PRESENCE post their interview experiences here along with the final outcome. This will help everyone who are suspecting that they may have problems at the time of interview and this thread can become one spot find for solutions and experience sharing, instead of looking for all over.
Thanks

Bank statements

I have continuous residency issue. I had my interview, and the officer was satisfied with my bank statements for the period of my absence. But I was denied for another reason.

Thanks for posting. Do you mind detailing about your experience so that others can help or gain from your experience.

You're probably not going to find many people visiting this thread to post their experience. They already have their own threads with details of their experience and are not likely to notice this or post here.

If you're concerned about your own continuous residence or physical presence, post the details of your travels from the past 5 years and we can give our opinions.

Thanks, but I am more concerned about my friend's than mine. I thought of finding more people like her here, but till now only one has written about his/her issue which he/she did not detail. Also I think only tiny percentage of people frequent this forum after they have gotten their USCship, so I it would be difficult, but not impossible. At least it would save some time for the newcomers and me.

Congrats and good luck for your interview. Post your experience again, since you said you had physical presence and continued residence issue which was not given attention by IO first time when she only asked for bank statements for last 5 years. Lets see what happens this time since nothing else except your first denial had changed in your case, I guess.

No, you don't need statements for 5 years, just for time you were absent from the USA. And no, IO didn't ask for the statements. I had many support documents with me including savings account statements, credit card statements, medical notes, tax return transcripts, proof that I didn't work when I was absent from USA, and may be something else, I don't remember. But she wasn't interested in anything other than bank statements. Although I was denied, she kept those statements saying they would be attached to my next case.

Thanks for clarifying. I wish you success this time, don't forget to post your interview experience, one last time when you visit this forum after your become USC
